Whether you have paid all of your billed lawyer’s fees or still owe legal fees, FeeSimple is here to help. We have a 95% record of reducing some portion of your legal fees.
FeeSimple is a legal fee advisor but not a law firm. However all of our auditors are lawyers
Most provinces and states have facilities that allow a client to bring their
lawyer to court or a designated office to dispute legal fees. FeeSimple does
this on the client's behalf.
No. If no fees are reduced then there is no further charge to you.
Yes, and the timing to bring complaint to a court or designated office varies
for each jurisdiction. For example, in Ontario the limitation period is 30 days
after receipt of the last bill, or possibly later if a judge accepts the clients
explanation as to why this period was not met.
There is a one time up front non-refundable fee which is not deductible from
the reduction earned by FeeSimple. Additionally there is a percentage of the
reduction obtained. This reduction fee depends on the difficulty of each matter
and agreed to in advance by every client.
The entire FeeSimple team are professionals. Our clients retain us at different stages:
1 - The client has already severed their relationship with their lawyer, often due to a fee dispute.
2 - The client has already been looking for a new lawyer because of fees and have just learned of FeeSimple.
3 - The clients new law firm recommends FeeSimple as they do not deal with fee disputes.
Next, FeeSimple contacts the client's law firm and advises that we have been retained by the client and FeeSimple has reviewed each of the accounts from beginning to end and have found discrepancies and inappropriate docketing. FeeSimple then attempts to settle this dispute in a professional manner. If an appropriate settlement is not reached, we cease dealing with the lawyer and asses the account.
